Lost My Wisdom

Today my dentist removed my three wisdom teeth. Only took 20 minutes. Less than a cleaning. Let's hope this bodes well for recovery. But to be on the safe side I've already scheduled to take Friday and Monday off.
Right now with half of my face numb I feel like a stroke victim. I can't wait for the novacaine to wear off so my lips wouldn't feel so hugh, (and why does that happen anyhow?), but I'm ok with being numb for now.

Got no quote.

Damn... and here I was hoping this was going to be a good enough post for me to delete... erm... I mean...

Good excuse to eat loads of ice cream. Yeah... that's what I meant to say. And now that you've lost your wisdom, you should feel absolutely no guilt over it either.

I ate milkshakes when I had mine out. And I was awake for my extraction. And they had to break the top wiz teeth. That was fun.

I've been eating soup, applesauce, & pudding. Tried having a sandwich today. Mistake!
And when I don't feel well I take super long showers. It's like I think I can soak away watever ails me.
I was awake for this. The option of not was never even discussed. There was a moment of drilling for the one on the bottom because he needed a place to grip the tooth to yank it out. I don't think any of them were broke though... but I did hear crunching. It really did amaze me how quick the top two came out though. If I had stuck to original plan and just had the two pulled, I'd be fine right now. It's the stupid bottom one that is driving me nuts. And the stitches! They're freaking me out a bit right now because I can feel them.

A word of wisdom from a friend of mine who had it done...

Avoid tortilla chips for a loooong time. You'll start to feel better and then one of the little shards will jam into your nearly healed wounds and you will cry out severely, and then have to try and fish it back out. Ouch.

But on the bright side... you haven't lost your charm. ;)

I had a super easy time with my wisdom teeth removal (all of them at once). The worst part was trying not to mess with the holes with my tongue. They gave me Demerol, which I ended up saving for migraines. I didn't even get chipmunk cheeks.

Don't try pizza for a while. Just some friendly advice.

I hope this isn't lingering results from falling on your face last year.

Yeah, PinTA! Don't let the terrorists win! Be an Update Demon!

Well that's just great. The terrorists are winning.

I always knew she was a terrorist sympathizer...

Must stem from too much Old Guy lust...

NYPinTA said...

How does that even make sense??

LL said...

I dunno... Old Guy lust never makes sense...

Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion.

Yeah! And what's with the stupid human suit?

mine are impacted. I just left them there. 2 rise up break the skin and hide. option is to surgical remove them but they have been doing that since HS. other two are sideways and back of back of jaw. they move now and again and knock out fillings (love getting work re-done) but they said they'd have to drill into the jaw bone to get them two. Nope. a c-section and tonsillectomy were enuf surgery's for me!

PS YOU DO FEEL BEtTER NOW 2 months later, right?

My wisdom teeth have never surfaced. No pain, no problems. Maybe that explains my low IQ.

Your last post was on my birthday. Are you waiting for me to get even older?

Like I should talk, right?

By the way, I was told to get my wisdom teeth removed 23 years ago. Never!

No pressure or anything, but wisdom tooth removal doesn't affect your fingers, does it? Let's see some updates around these parts! :)
