Happy 4th!

To my fellow Americans, I wish you a happy 4th of July.
To the folks in the rest of the world, happy Friday.
To those of you across the pond in England, nya nya.

After wading through a bunch of very serious July 4th posts, yours was a refreshing change of pace. Thanks for a good laugh.

Hehe. LL made me chuckle.

I just took some time and went back to posts I'd missed of yours because I am so happy to see you posting again, I don't want to miss any!

We've seen a lot of the same movies. I really liked "Wanted" as well and fully agree with you on "Juno." I thought Ellen Page was a hoot, but I didn't think the movie was all that and a bag of crisps. I saw Hancock two nights ago and I really liked it, yet didn't like some things about it. Let me know when you see it. As a Heath Ledger "fan" (for lack of a better term), I cannot wait to see "Dark Knight," yet am sad I only have two more movies of his to see ... and then nothing. I have a feeling I'm going to love his portrayal of the Joker because I've always wanted a darker, more sinister joker -- not just a fool who kills and from what I've seen, that's what Heath is doing with it.

Oh, and I'm a terrible listener, but don't own any books on how to write either. I usually feign listening, which isn't right either. Ever since reading Tolle, I've been just trying to be right where I am when someone is talking instead of two hours from then or yesterday ... that helps to really communicate, I think. To stay out of my head.

No fireworks for this clan this year. My daughter said fireworks makes her stomach feel grey. I actually copyrighted that phrase because I liked it so much.

Wallpaper gone? I'm painting a ceiling today and then some trim.

Sorry for the babble. Just wanted to hit all subjects fully.

Not enough duct tape?

Allons enfants de la patrie,
Le jour de gloire est arriv
Contre nous de la tyrannie
L'tendard sanglant est lev
Entendez vous dans les campagnes,
Mugir ces froces soldats?
Ils viennent jusque dans nos bras
Egorger nos fils, nos compagnes!

Aux armes, citoyens!
Formez vos bataillons!
Marchons! Marchons!
Qu'un sang impur
Abreuve nos sillons!

Amour sacr de la patrie,
Conduis, soutiens nos bras vengeurs!
Libert, Libert cherie,
Combats avec tes defenseurs!
Sous nos drapeaux, que la victoire
Accoure tes males accents!
Que tes ennemis expirants
Voient ton triomphe et notre gloire!

Nous entrerons dans la carrire
Quand nos ains n'y seront plus;
Nous y trouverons leur poussire
Et la trace de leurs vertus.
Bien moins jaloux de leur survivre
Que de partager leur cercueil,
Nous aurons le sublime orgueil
De les venger ou de les suivre!
